Ryan Marsh aka Motive has always had an ear for music. Starting out playing guitar and keyboards, he then moved on to snapping a snare drum in the marching band . Motive began Rapping and Emceeing at the early age of 19 and was introduced to Drum and Bass. 

Following this he found his path with his new found passion: the genre's of Jungle & Drum and Bass. The electrifying bass­lines and drum patterns were music to his ears.

In early 2000 (MC) Motive formed a unique project with Artists Special K and MC Dutchess called "Assembly Station", which went on to headline status for "Seally Stage" at "Hempfest Seattle" to "Ultra Music Festival 2005" in Miami.  His experience and confidence grew immensely.  He developed as an Emcee with his own kind of style, by using precise and witty lyrics to sped up beats, while using multiple syllables rapping over them.

 Shortly After being noticed by DnB crews and promoters, Motive quickly became the host for many DnB events in South Florida.  He rocked the mic every time he touched it and started sharing the stage with Artists from both the UK and the US DnB music scenes .  These artists included Loxy and Ink , Usual Suspects, Bad Company, Aphrodite, Tech Itch, Ak1200, Dara and many others.  Motive has released a track called "No Remorse" on Theoryon Records and "808 remix" on Renagade Alien Records under the moniker "Kingz City".
